Scattergun Sports, is NOT just an internet company, we have an actual retail location that supplies sporting goods for the outdoors person. Specializing in hunting, hiking, archery, fishing, and camping items. Scattergun Sports currently stocks between 4500 and 5000 items and is slowly growing. We opened the retail location after purchasing the inventory from two retail outlets, one specializing in sporting goods of all kinds and the other mostly military items, new and used surplus, and clothing. After contacting several vendors, we liquidated most of the surplus and clothing and brought in several new pieces of inventory. We have became dealers for several companies and products through out the Midwest.

At Scattergun Sports, we believe there is something the customer's need, and sometime fail to receive from the "chain stores". This need is simply the time to be able to talk to someone about the products and to be able to ask questions. Scattergun Sports, takes the time to help the customer and tries to answer any questions that the customer may have. Sure we don't know everything, but we make every effort to locate the information for the customer, and try answer their question in a timely fashion.

Scattergun Sports, supports the shooting sports and conservation organizations, such as Pheasants Forever, Ducks Unlimited, Whitetails Unlimited, National Wild Turkey Federation, Dove Sportsman's Society, Quail Unlimited, and others organizations such as the hunters safety programs offered though the different states DNR. We appreciate you visiting our page, or our store in person, and ask only that you consider Scattergun Sports when purchasing something for your sporting needs. We also would like to ask that you support organizations such as those listed on our "extras" page to help preserve our sporting heritage.

When Scattergun Sports opened, we asked ourselves "how can we stand out from the crowd?" Our customers spoke out and we listened. All they wanted was REAL customer service. It was evident that there are places bigger than we are, selling the same items, but our customers kept coming back again and again. Why? It's because we know what we're doing. When we're not working, we're doing the same things our customers are doing; hunting, fishing, camping, and generally enjoying the outdoors. It's experience.

We do everything we can to help you, if you have a question that we don't know the answer to.... we'll find out for you, and get an anwser. If we can't find the answer, we tell you straight out.... YOUR time is valuable and we don't want to waste it.

The same is true with our inventory. We know we can't carry everything, but we try hard to locate anything you may want or need in timely manner, then order if requested. We place several orders a week with different vendors and normally have most items in stock in two days or less.

Scattergun Sports has grown a little more each year since it opened. "Could we be bigger"? Yes. Is bigger always better? No. I have been in several establishments that are huge, and the customer service was horrible, people waiting on you that didn't care, It was just a job they HAD to do, until something better came along. Others though trying, had no experience or the resources to help you. Yet others, would tell you anything to make a sale, knowing the chances of seeing you again was little to none.
